I have a 65 gallon reef tank. I want to have a golden dwarf moray in the future, but I dont want it to consume my fish or my shrimp. I have a coral banded shrimp, pygmy skunk cleaner shrimp, and a pistol shrimp. My fish are 2 clownfish, a tomini tang, 2 pj cardinals, diamond goby, and a yellow watchman goby. I want to add a mandarin dragonet in the future, would it be in danger?

I have a lot of rockwork, and would add more before getting it.

I have a sump with a reef octopus skimmer, phosphate reactor, etc, so messy eating wont be a problem.

My main concern is it eating my fish. Would it?

Everything except possibly the tang would be at risk of being eaten by an eel. You have mostly small, slow moving fish and that usually doesn’t work out well with eels.

my answer is: you never know. Some eels of the same species are manics and some dont care about anything. Id say its not impossible but I would go into it planning for the worst. and as @TriggerFinger said a lot of those fish are slow moving and small.

side note those eels are PRICEY right now and hard to find from what ive heard
