Golden torch

Can anyone tell me why my golden torch looks rather skinny compared to the torch next to it. Pretty sure it hasn't always been like this.

Maybe its getting more flow? I’ve always wonder this too. My torch looks really skinny compared to some people’s torches. Even skinnier than that one. But it’s growing so have not worried about it[emoji15].

It's pretty much in the same position as the other torch though. Hmm.

They definitely look like different styles of torch...my lfs has some fatty tentacles on there’s. But not near the length. I think the plump looks nicer than the length. Maybe someone more experienced will chime here soon

Yeah definitely, I think it looks unhealthy the way it is now but it's out day and night so cant be that bad?

The thicker one is an Aussie and the thinner was is an Indo. Nothing wrong with it. Keep an eye on how they play together. They should be fine but with torches you never know. Of all my euphyllia Indo Gold was the bully and like to sting other euphyllia around it

Oh ok my lfs sold it as an aussie gold torch. They have been next to each other a while now.

I've just found a picture of the gold one from few months ago and it looked similar to the other one

Hmmm does look like an Aussie Gold in that pic.
What light you got. Might be extending to reach some light. Keep itvaway from any laminar high flow.

Its mid way up my tank. I only have the basic aquaone light which came with my tank.

That could be your problem bud!
That light wont cutit for real coral. Probably putting out very little PAR and might be extending for light. My opinion

I’ll give it ago trying to move it up a little more and see how it goes

I tried moving it up but it definitely didn't seem to like it there so it's back in its original place.
It was retracting in other spots but is fully out again now it's back into its spot
