Hello, i bought a frag of goldenrod anacro a couple of months ago. It is growing ok and seems happy but the color is rather greenish and not really yellow. No matter the light spectrum. Is there any reason? Not true goldenrod? Thanks.

200 pars - i thought it was enough for anacropora to thrive.

Is it same coral? Mine get more yellow whenever nutrient stay around NO3 10 and PO4 0.1

Yep, I have a frag about that size and yes it looks like that, and my nutrients are higher than that. I have not done acro's in sometime and had sworn them off but picked up a bunch of cheap frags both from clearance and that big sale ASD just had. Some of the clearance ones had lost color and are coloring up nice with the nutrients. Plus feeding bacteria and phyto. They were all the canaries in the coal mine to see if they would do well in now mostly LPS tank.

Total novice here but I looked around a little (I don't have a yellow piece) and a vendor that has frags avaliable had an image of the mother colony and said they keep it under 400 par. It was yellow but who knows for sure in the digital age? Yours definately has some yellow showing. Maybe give it a some more par and see what happens :thinking-face:

Not really, some SPS will do ok there but others won't and coloring may be a factor of that. I have mine at 350 par near the top and some growing in around 250 to 300 mid tank.

Looks like green goblin anacropora!
