Breeder will tell you to tell you to let the first few nests slide, they will get bigger and better quality as they come. Is the male taking care? If you can starts a rotifer culture tomorrow/day after you might be just in time if you want to rear them. Green water you can buy concentrated nowadays.

Thanks!! Anymore advice? I'm open! I'll do that so far as rotifers. It's been the female protecting them this evening. This isn't normal?

Yes the male will gradually fully take over at least normally, did he fertilize the eggs, you could have missed that easily. Other inhabitants of your tank might take an extra breakfast, really hard to say.

Well on rearing, it's really something that takes time to get full grip over, there are YouTube videos you can watch however I have several books that are good. But YouTube is the place to start, don't take the rock out, until day out. Must also be some threads here on rearing.

1) hard to say, I don't know but you could get both types or a mix, or a mix of all
2) next nest will be 10-21 days after this one so no stress

Rock out after day 8, not sure for marroons, but easy to find that info, if not I'll check the literature this weekend

No stress if you don't rear this batch, once they start laying they usually continue. So you will have a new nest in 2-3 weeks after this one hatches, so my advice would be get some literature and some cultures going, hatch tank, brineshrimp setup, etc and take the next nest, it will be bigger and of better quality most likely also, so no stress

I actually have kept a small tank packed with pods/rott for fun. Farming them. This is destiny!

Although, now I'll need a heater for it.

This one might be hard to get, but should be available on amazon or something else secondhand, really the best book if you want a straight simple read

Hoff, F.H. 1996. Conditioning, Spawning and Rearing of Fish with Emphasis on Marine Clownfishes. Aquaculture ...
This one is easy to get (florida aqua farms) or amazon, its way more technical and not as easy to read, but i love it.

I have some more books but these two are the bible's. There is a lot of info online, lots also copied from either one of the above books. But i like to have something physical where i can find what info i need in a matter of seconds, instead of pondering online for hours.
