Okay, I don't need the tang police commenting on the fact that I have a goldrim. I DO understand the goldrim tang is a delicate fish and will probably get too big for my tank. But the BOTTOM LINE is that I have acquired one, and I would like it to survive.
The goldrim is still in the quarantine tank, thank goodness. Last night I noticed one white spot on him. I hoped it wasn't ich, but tonight he has 6 spots, so I'm assuming it's ich. I know the goldrim tang is a more delicate fish, so I'm not sure how to go about treating it. I tried the Metronidazole with a bannerfish I had in QT a few months ago that had ich and he still died. I tried to give the goldrim tang the metronidazole, but he wouldn't take it. He did eat other food after that, so he still has an appetite. I'm wondering if I should use copper (Cupramine) or hyposalinity (still not exactly sure how to balance the pH when I do this). Or a transfer method. Any recommendations? I really don't want to lose this fish to ich and I know it's more sensitive to stress than others.
Thanks for your help.
