Gone for 12 days help me prepare

I have a reef tank in a school. I will be gone for 12 days during the Christmas break. Because this is a school I cannot give keys to just anyone. Currently I have a auto top off that last about a week and a half without filling. The lights are on a program. I have a GHL ProfiLux on order. I have a doser that doses my Alk, Mag, and Cal and last about 2 weeks. I need to get an auto feeder, I think I will get a Ehime. What else do you recommend?

I happen to know someone that wrote an article on this topic. Might be worth the read and the follow up comments. Your plan sounds pretty good though.

I leave mine a lot I run an Apex for everything and daily into it to check. I do have someone that comes by to feed the dog but I don't want him messing with anything in the tank

· Buy a bigger temporary storage container

· You should be ok then

I have a GHL ProfiLux on order.

· I recommend not setting up new products before an extended absence from your tank. In case there is an issue or malfunction early on and you aren’t there to fix it.

I have a doser that doses my Alk, Mag, and Cal and last about 2 weeks.

· You should be ok here if your solutions last 2 weeks. Make sure to refill as much as possible before you leave to ensure they last.

I need to get an auto feeder, I think I will get a Ehime.

· Auto feeders can be great but when setting up new products I don’t recommend doing it before a long vacation. If you set up and leave then it over doses due to malfunction or user error with a new product you may ruin your tank.
