Goni Coral dying ?

This Goni used to open up an around but latest the last few days the front has receded and doesn’t come out … thoughts?

It kind of looks like there is some receding flesh and exposed skeleton on the top front, if that's the case it's is in trouble.
I have honestly not seen them make a hollow dome like that, I saw this picture in your snail thread and was wondering what the deal was.
If you're losing snails and this coral is receding I would definitely assume something isn't right.

Agree that its not liking something in the tank, it almost looks like algae growing on the front part.

if you can tell more about your tank, folks will be able to offer some suggestions. What are the water parameters, the tank age, lighting, flow, tank mates. How long have you had it? Do you have other corals, how are they doing?

Goni generally likes medium lighting and flow.

I've given up on gonis. I've had three. They do great for a year or so, then one morning they are gone. I keep acres of acropora just fine.
