Are my Goni’s dead or are they just light burned
All my elements are at a constant
8.3 alk
mag is at 1200
Cal is at 410
Salt 1.25
Temp 78
Placement: mid right low of a 30 gal breeder
My tank went through a rough alk swing and salinity hick up and it affected them in the beginning. I fixed those problems and the health of my gonis went way down haven’t seen them in about a month. I’m currently dipping them in reef primer to try to help them bounce back if that’s even possible. Should I just cut my losses and toss the frag or give it some time.

My nitrates are low around 2
I do water changes every other week
And I feed the corals at least twice a week

100% Not dead, just retracted.
Goni’s are notoriously moody and known for doing what your describing. The swing you talked about likely threw it off. Keep moving it to different locations. Try low light, medium-low flow. Keep everything stable. It might come back

I think running the mag high helps most LPS. Try getting it up to 1350-1400. My Gonis respond well to zooplankton feeding too, give that a try too.
I use to feed zooplankton everyday but my nitrates dropped lower than 1. But I will try to get my mag up to that. I’ve seen a lot of success running it that high
