Goni - white round growths?

I’ve had this for about a month, they haven’t really extended much and now noticed a few white round balls around it as well as white coverings.. any idea what these are?

The white growths look like pineapple sponges. Goniporas have been a challenge for my system. If the system is still new, I would not have recommended that coral. I'll end up trying them again myself at a later timeframe.
