Goniopora and Mushroom - What is your experience?

Hello,

I'm considering a different option aquascaping for my aquarium and I was wondering if anyone here had experience mixing goniopora and mushroom together, touching.

is it feasible? or they will sting too much one another?

I have these close to each other (about 1.5" clearance and no issues.)

While I dont know for certain I would assume any separation would likely be okay but I would not let them actually touch one another. Neither of them have sweepers but mushrooms can be some pretty tough critters.

I've had goni's for years and have never seen any aggression although I've read it does happen. I keep mine close (1" away) to some rhodactis.

Thank you for the feedback.
Since I use a nano, I was thinking to get the gonio reaching height while the mushroom make the bottom (on the rock) look great, from a aquascaping point of view.

As long as they aren’t actually touching, it shouldn’t be an issue

Your mushrooms will take over compared to your goni growth rates.
