Can anyone help me with my Goniopora? I have moved it all around my tank to find a place it likes. Its current location is near the bottom of the tank tucked away from a lot of light and flow. This has been the best spot for it to extend but it still is not extending very much.
This morning I noticed a bubble that is forming on it. What is this bubble and is it bad for it? If it is bad, how do I get rid of the bubble?

I have 4 goniopora - and at one time or another they have gotten these areas - one time I even thought all of the 'skin' was going to come off the base (after a feeding) - within a couple hours it was back to normal. It is hard to tell from your picture - but to me it looks a little faded - but that might just be the light. Is it a long or short tentacle Goniopora? In general are you feeding it? I would also avoid 'moving it' all over the tank. It might tank a couple weeks before it will 'show' you that it 'likes' the space. One thing that might be helpful is for you to try to match the spectrum and PAR of the light from where you bought it - as well as the parameters (what are your parameters, btw)?
