Hi guys, my goniopora hasn‘t extending its tentacles for weeks now. Ive no idea what‘s wrong with it.
My guess is low nitrate in my tank. Well it‘s not actually now, its currently at 8-11 ppm. My nitrate was somewhere between 20-25 ppm and thats when everything was happy. I started carbon dosing to reduce my nitrate level so i could add torch corals but i guess my corals love dirtier tank and happy with it already?
My ricordea mushroom also shrunk and doesn‘t look happy. All other corals are okay though. The only ones that dont look happy are my goniopra and ricordea mushroom.
Should i raise my NO3 to where it was? or do u guys think it was other type of problem that caused this?
Can i add torch corals where NO3 is abit high like 20-25ppm?
Alk: 8 dkH
PO4: 0.07 ppm
Salinity 1.025
Ca 450
Mg 1350
Tank is about 1.5 years old
