Goniopora partially retracted

It used to be fully open and extended up until 1-2 weeks ago. I haven’t done anything different because I thought it would just turn back to normal.

Does anyone have ideas?

Parameters:
Salinity: 35ppt
Temperature: 80F
Alkalinity: 10dKH
Calcium: 465ppm
Magnesium: around 1350ppm (haven’t check for a few weeks
phosphates: 0.13-0.15ppm
nitrates: 11ppm-14ppm

I change 15% of water weekly. I highly doubt it’s my parameters because I have acropora and clams that are growing well. Flow hasn’t changed, lighting the same.


This picture is right after a water change. The Goniopora is usually extended, but the “bald” spot is blubbery against the flow. You can see a happy red goni next to it which I had longer than the green.

I have the exact same gonis. Placed mid level at about 150 par. They seem to be sensitive to phosphate levels at times not always.

Just tested: 250-280 par.

The red one is around 180 because there seems to be an overhang.

Could be too much light. Another possibility could be flow. Any changes in flow recently? Any nutrient spikes, pH spikes, or alk swings?
