What are your thoughts about rescuing this guy
I bought this for free from my LFS , i fed him with reefroids , placed him at sandbed with strong flow

That’s all you can do, it’s hard to say whether it will recover or not once it starts receding. They are pretty finicky. You could try moderate flow if the polyps aren’t extending.

Moderate light and flow would be better and assure you water quality is optimal.
Feed 2-3X per week.

i moved him to a lover flow area

For me feeding was the key to revive them, but create a space between feeding so they can "poop"
