I have had had a ORA Red / Pink Goniopora that never opens but still has Zooxanthellae and has good coloration. It did fine for over a year and then suddenly melted down and won't come back. I believe it is still alive as I sometimes see very small polyp extension (barely open). What can I do to try and revive this little guy? I have tried feeding (does nothing), moving to bottom of tank, etc. I am not sure what to do at this point.

Hey bud,

Was it ever opened? Have your parameters changed since then? Did it start up down low in the tank? WHere have you moved it and what is the lighting?

I have 2 gonis, and they started out low, now are down up higher, 1 AIPrime HD light at 60% blues, 3% white.

My green one expands like crazy, my pink and green one is a different variety and is healthy but is much shorter and more dense.

Yes it was open for a year and was thriving then suddenly melted one day without any sign of alarm. All of my SPS, LPS and other corals are doing fine as are fish. No parameter changes. Just suddenly seemed like it lost the will to thrive. Strange coral.

After that happened I started moving it all around trying to find a good spot for it but never have been able to get it back to the way it was.

dang that is strange. Following for expert advise, as I don't want this to happen to my 2 up top, attached:
