I was just wondering if the elongation of some of my goniopora was normal and healthy.

Some of the polyps look really stretched. Easier to see in the second photo.

The little bulbs on the ends of the longer ones are Stingers. When these are out, they are happy and healthy.

Mine come out on the side nearest a red bubble tipped anemone. Probably defense mech.

I was thinking they might be stingers but I wasn't sure.

Longer the better!!!

If the species is known for having large polyp extension and it were shorter, I would be concerned, but seeing it opened up like that is great! Those are little feeder “stingers” IMO

Long and strong! Mine has been like this almost a year. The crazy thing is the size of the skeleton in relation to how big they get. It’s almost the size of a quarter. It’s when they shrink down and don’t come back that they are on there way out I have found. My other one loves getting whipped around

Awesome color diversity there. Very cool Goni garden.
