My goni is changing color. It used to be a nice dark green. Is it lighting? Should I move it back to the bottom area of tank?
Tank currently being treated with fluconazle for bryopsis. Here are two shots. Before and current. The current pic is a bit more washed out than it really is. More of a neon yellow

Might be a feeding problem, could also be a nutrient problem since you have some algae growth present. Maybe scoot it to the side to be safe and try feeding it as well

I feed several times a week though since removing the fish to go fallow, it hasn't been as often. Will up the feeding to daily. The algae is bryopsis. Tank is being medicated with fluconazle. I have a thread detailing that in the algae forum and in my build thread. seeing major die off now. I moved it back down to the bottom to see if it does better. The lights on the above pic do bleach it out more than reality.

Sorry to hijack your thread but I got a Goni yesterday it looked great in the display at the LFS and no sign of any dead polyps, once I got it home I noticed a section maybe 4 polyps that had died! Will it continue to strip or can I bring it back, it's all fully extended now and feeding mysis and cyclops plus dosing reef energy A and B

Sorry here is the pic

hijack away! Mine is on it's way out, literally rotting. Must have gotten some sort of bacterial thing. I'm sad but realize also that goni's are nearly impossible to keep, or so I've read. Will try again though, but with the long polyp one, not the short.
