Hello recently my gonipora has tissue reccesion and dieing . I’ve dipped in hydrogen peroxide for 5 mins and nothing working . Any suggestions !

If you are looking for help you need to put forth a little bit of effort.

Everything is in check is not an acceptable answer. You're obviously having issues so starting with the basics.

"everything in check" is not acceptable. I know it's annoying to type out parameters but its the least you can do.

I'm guessing you have a goni frag and goni frags are just prone to dying for no reason.

I don't know what triggers it, but I've had 3 die on me - 1 of those lasted a while and seemed happy before slowly receding and melting away.

I also have 2 very healthy growing ones in the tank

Some say manganese, some say feeding - I've never seen gonis have a feeding response so ymmv

Alk 8.26 calcium 458. Magnesium 1367 , ph 8.2. 78.5 temp . No3 15.1. Phosphate .06 zero ammonia and nitrite . Saltinty is 1.026 . Trace elements are decent . I have tons of coral and they are thriving . I’ve had this for 6 months

It sounds like a very typical goni experience where they do fine - or even grow and thrive - and then suddenly die.

If it's receding already I'm guessing it's on its way out and there's probably not much can you do

Is it a full size colony or just a little frag you picked up at a show?

Photo under white light ?

Goni is a finicky species and still prone to randomly declining rapidly. Do you attempt to feed it at all? How is flow and par in that spot ?

It was a 4 inch colony that is highlighter yellow

That's a good size - in my experience the smaller frags die much more often and more easily than the larger ones

There's usual suspects like alkalinity swings - but also light - in my experience gonis don't like strong light much at all.

Double check your salinity - sometimes salinity checkers get out of whack and you can be running lower or higher than what you think

(recommend a tropic marin hydrometer for this reason)

I hydrogen peroxide dipped 5 times and was able to save around 50 percent of colony . It will take time and will probably grow over the dead parts .
