Hey all,

I have 6 gonis all doing well. This red one i have had for about 2 years started retracting but still staying very swollen. It has a strange droopy section see photos.

Water p

Phos 0.15
Nitrate 2 (yea its low right now)
Alk 9 no swing via trident and manual testing
Mag 1250
Calcium 445
Par 100-150
Flow hasn’t changed
no new fish added or corals recently
No change in lights

Any guesses??

Gonis love high mg. I have 6 as well and can tell when mg drops. I try for 1450 to 1500 on my reef. Also it looks like in your pic it is getting sunlight. Excessive light can cause this as well. Perhaps it's just the time of year and the light is hitting it just right. When mine do this they normally come out of it after a week or 2. I have 1 that gets indirect to direct sunlight this time of year and does the same thing.

Interesting yea i fed last night as its been like this about 3 days now with reef energy ab and broadcast to my other lps some oyster feast. No change.

Interesting! My mag did drop it usually around 1450. Yea that light is reflection of my door that was open but great eye! I dosed mag yesterday. I need to recheck now. Thank you!

Mine seems to do this when the fish are to close and bump into him.
