In December I moved to a bigger place. I removed all the sand and went bare bottom. Most of my corals lost color or turned brown during the first month after moving. It is now March and all my corals went back to normal and got their color back. The only exemption is a purple Gonipora that before the move had great polyp extension it is in the same location yet it has not extended it's polyps should I give up? Does anyone have any tips to get it to open up? Any suggestions?

How's it doing?

Goniopora need tiny foods like oyster eggs. There's a prepared food out for them now called Goniopower - you should give it a try.

What kind of flow is it under right now? Have you changed the lighting or anything?

TLF makes gonipora food. If you are near lauderhill, I can give you some to try.

I moved it into higher flow and less light and fed it some goni power and the most I have ever seen it open opened about 2 inch polyps. This is a great start hopefully with some time I can get it back to the 5 inch polyps it had.
