Good Afternoon from Southern California

Hello, I am brand new to saltwater aquariums! Stoked to finally get started. The chef at my work has a 100 gallon reef aquarium and I have finally decided to get started because he is always talking about it and showing off cool pictures. I purchased a 20 gallon tank about 2 weeks ago and have just recently added a couple fish. First a Blue/Green Chromis and then a Tail Spot Blenny. Also I have 5 hermit crabs workin away and a couple tiny mushrooms that came with a piece of live rock. Currently I have 15 lbs of live rock in the tank and I will be adding more soon. I check the basics everyday such as salinity, carbonate water hardness, pH, Nitrites, and Nitrates. All seem to be at good levels. Everything sounds great! Glad to see appropriate fish being stocked in your tank. Most people jump right into tangs and other fish inappropriate for nanos. Post some pictures and your tank specs. Sounds like you have a good coworker to talk about fish all day now haha.

the first picture is my tank as of today. The top right rock is new so now I have about 17.5 lbs of rock. The second picture is the middle rock and it came with a few small mushrooms that seem to be doing fine. Right now I test for salinity, carbonate hardness, pH, nitrites, and nitrates. All levels seem to be ok
