Good camera?

My camera sucks. It will not focus, and I have had enough. I would like a new camera that will take good pictures of corals, nothing too expensive, under $500 is best.
 
I just picked up a used Nikon TX-5 that actually does a really good job, especially since it is waterproof (to 3 meters), so you don't have to worry about reflections off of the water. The macro function does such a good job, that I'm thinking about selling the macro lens for my DSLR. It isn't quite as good, but the pics I take are more for fun than anything. The new TX-20 should be even better (it's waterproof to 6 meters) and is in your price range.

The tx-5 is a sony isn't it?
