I had the same problem. With that lid and the lights it is like a pressure cooker. I opened the feeding door and pointed a fan at it. After I did that and cranked down my AC, I got it to remain stable.

Yeah I did that all today didn’t work my room just gets too hot I had froze some water bottles and stuck them in there but I’m looking for a cooler for a easier solutions I feel it would work way better

Out of what's out there I like JBJ. As for model they have an online calculator to determine the right one. I'm using a 1/5hp on a 200g so you don't need much. Probably the mini 1/15hp.

Jeez they’re pricey any other options maybe not over $100?

Good luck with that other than fans. The cheapest option is probably a $170 thermoelectric chiller which having used peltiers for computer cooling I would not recommend. It's basically just a computer fan and heatsink with a peltier attached and a small protrusion that transfers the cold through a bulkhead you will have to drill. With a peltier one side get extremely hot and the other side cold while sucking quite a bit of power. For your tank maybe -2-3F. The alternative is evaporative cooling or running your AC. Have open or screen tops and blow a fan across the water for maybe -2f cooling. Better have a good top off to go with that.

I was looking at the chill solutions cooler seems like it’d be perfect for me but it’s a little bit more expensive than I thought but it’s whatever. You think I’d get a lot more evaporation then usual with this?

Mine was overheating. Swapped the stock return pump for a variable speed pump and no more overheating

My problem is that my tank is in my room upstairs and for whatever reason my room gets unbelievably hot unlike any other room

I would look on Offer Up or similar for a used one. A 1/15 Artica would probably suffice. Used chillers usually go for $60 to $200. But to be honest, I bought a new chiller and a used chiller. The used one is so much less efficient than the new one (same chiller) I could have bought a new one with the amount of extra electricity my used one uses... something to think about.

Hi I’m not sure what you have found. If you want inexpensive, find someone to make a 3D printer adapter for the back of the bio cube lid and a computer fan. I put one on my 32 biocube and it works very well. I actually found the file here. Let me see if I can attach it

Could you get a couple friends over, quickly drain it down and move it to a cooler room, then refill it? I drained, moved mine by myself, by putting those large slider furniture pads under the feet.
