Good deal or no?

Should be getting these rocks and sand for $100, good deal or no?

I personally am VERY skeptical about used sand. Don’t know what’s in it which could cause you lots of problems. You want to give yourself a good confident start.

I am pretty sure you can buy that much rock and sand new for cheaper than $100.

I agree with @Aprod . Also there is not much based on the shape of the rocks for scaping... unless you break one or 2 up.

New rock runs $3 a pound shipped, also the sand is really cheap at any local pet store. Roughly $1 Lbs. Hope that helps make a decision!

Dry rock is $2-3 per pound. Sand is around a buck a pound. I wouldn't call that a good deal.

I definitely would not buy. You can probably buy it all cheaper and I wouldn't want to risk using someone else's sand that has God knows what in it.

Those look like pretty nice rocks, holes drilled, etc.
