I noticed I had a little clump of algae that seemed to be in different spots each day... I took a closer look and realized it was a crab! I'm assuming it's a decorator crab? From what I'm researching there seem to be two types... One is fish safe, the other is not. Can someone tell me which this one is? I have a FOWLR tank so I'm not worried about coral damage.

Claws are curved. That's a good sign. Might up root and wear your frags around.

I've been trying to get a better picture of him with no luck so far... He's small enough and well camouflaged enough that my camera doesn't like focusing on him. Here's another picture of the claws... It also shows just how well he's covered himself!

My live rock is from Tampa Bay Saltwater and he seems to have an arrow shaped face... Does that help at all?

The best I can do is tell you to research Majoidea crab. Then you can work your way down to a species level. It's hard when its 95% covered in algae. But what can you do, that's what they are known for lol :) . If you figure it out let us know!
