What are some good macroalgae for a display tank that will live in marine conditions? Post pictures of your favorite display marcoalgae if you want.

I had 4 that got to about 2 feet tall before I pulled them out and gave them to a new home. They consumed about 150 ml of ESV B-Ionic Mg a month. So not as bad as some stories I've heard.

Dragons breath is one of my favourite, but any tang will eat it in seconds

That answer depends on what else you have in the tank and do you want a slow grower or a fast grower. I myself like pinecone algae, Rhipocephalus phoenix. I don't have any but when I finish setting up my macro tank that's what I'm going to get as well as some others.

Halimeda opuntia

galleryopuntia.jpg
A unique form of calcareous algae that features tight, segmented discs, found attached to rocks, sandy bottom and other algae. This particular species does not possess a rhizome as other species of halimeda, but is an encrusting variety that spreads both laterally and horizontally. These are hardy specimens collected from the Caribbean, that do very well in tanks with high calcium levels such as reef aquaria. We ship several clusters approx 3"- 4" in diameter. This species will often appear white or pale when received, but will return to the bright green coloration within a few days.
