Hello,

I would like a second opinion if my future fish combination in my 40g tank is a good idea.
Tank is long, not tall & will mostly have soft corals & LPS.

I will move over: 2 occelaris clownfish
i want to add:
1x gramma loreto
1x Salarias Fasciatus (starry blenny)
1x dwarf angel (still not sure wich one, even tho i'm afraid of them not being that reef safe, any alternatives?)

Thanks for your time! :)

I have an AC Neon Dottyback that gets along with the Clownfish, Blue Chromis, Two Spot Tang, and I had a Flameback Angel, in my 65 till I moved it to the 120. It goes around and eats Bristle Worms. At first it was going to fight the Angel, then they became buddies. Nice fish, very active swimming around the Rock and Corals.

just another suggestion but consider some of the basslets will pair or trio and make for interesting interplay…
Chalk bass form groups pretty easily, less so for Grammas and Black caps which will pair but can form “groups” sorta…
Cherub angels are semi social in larger tanks or more accurately can get along under certain setups

I like diversity, if i get a cherub angel it would only be 1, i want a "larger fish" but still fit for the tank that pops out :)

of course, it all depends on your “viewing pleasure” …
Sometimes it’s the “visual” of textures, shapes and colors…
Sometimes the attraction is the fishes actual interactions and behaviors…

You got a 40gal ,and you got some room for choices
