Ive been looking into purchasing a Fluval evo 13g tank for awhile and i was wondering is there any fish apart from clowns that would be suitable for this tank it would be helpful if they were somewhat easy to keep (Considering i'm somewhat new to the hobby) and if they were also reef safe.

Thank you, Ben :)

Randall Gobies, and bonded with a piston shrimp.
There's a dedicated space in liveaquaria.com to nano tanks - check it out.

Yellow watchman goby and pistol shrimp and use small cerith snails for clean up crew and no crabs they are not reef safe

Welcome to R2R! the first fish that pop into mind would definitely include: Fire fish, some kind of blenny, and/or some kind of goby. (nearly any commonly found goby would work fine with the exception of those that will get too large for your tank).
Some specific blennies i'd recommend: barnacle, tailspot, 2 spot.

You're probably only going to be able to house about 3-4 fish, so choose those you enjoy the most! I personally would go with: 1 designer clown, 1 fire fish, 1 small goby, and 1 of the listed blennies (keep in mind that the blenny and goby will likely compete for space if there aren't enough hiding spots around the tank)

I always include a small bunch of hermits for some added cleanup crew, its very rare to find a non reef safe hermit given that its smaller than a silver dollar. (most of the hermits you see sold are about 2cm in length) they are great scavengers and most small ones will adamantly go after algaes
I also would look into trochus snails, nerite snails, margarita snails, and nassarius snails for some more clean up crew.

I am going to suggest a different direction than fish. Why not get a small-medium mantis shrimp? There are several smaller-medium species available that have a lot of personality. If you are interested in a mantis I would suggest a club variety if you want to attempt keeping a small fish with them 50/50 a club mantis will leave it alone.

Species I would suggest if you can find them:
Neogonodactylus wennerae
Gonodactylus smithii
Pseudosquilla ciliata
- Spear I currently have one and they have a great personality but they eat fish.
Odontodactylus scyllarus - These can get a little bigger but if you order one 2"-5" it should be happy in your tank.

I had a fluval 13.while nicely done you will quickly realize it will not hold much livestock. Unless you are out of space, I would recommend getting a biocube 32 tank only for 99$ and adding A pump for 10bucks and media for around the same.

To be fair and complete, you will still need a lighting and perhaps hood. Plexiglass sheet is 10$ at home depot. Coming to the light.. You can pickup Chinese black boxes for $60on ebay or get a e27 Reed led bulb on Amazon or ebay for $20-35 and atttach it over aquarium. There are lot of threads giving ideas for light stand
