Hi,

I’m looking for some advice on good fish choices

I currently have two clowns in thanemone

two flame hawk fish

bunch of cleaner snails

corals:
two hammer
Two jardine (elegance)
Bubble tip fire anemone
A desh

wanting to get more soft, lps and sps corals and need fish that will add colour and interest while also being reef safe.

Hoping to get
- Morish Idol
-Blue Tang
-box fish
-ribbon eel

Opinions or other suggests please?

A metre long 200 litre system

no you can't have any of them fish in a 200 litre system ribon eel gets 3 foot blue tang gets 12" and moorish idol needs like a 4 foot tank bigger the better unsure on box fish but i guess they get about 10" too

sry the tang and boxfish dont get 12 and 10 foot they get 12inch and so on but still too big for a 200 litre

midas blenny
dwarf angel (fisky with coral tend to not pick at torches/hammer/frogspawn)
basslet
Mandarin goby (years down the line need pods)
pink streak wrasse
gobys (not engineer they get huge)
golden dwarf moray
valenntini pufferfish (to replace the boxfish u wanted not sure if they pick coral or not)

Already dosed tank with pods to start getting the cycle 500ml 6000 so far to start a population

will mandarin be ok with the fire hawks?

you should always google recommended tank sizes for fish. Some of the fish you have listed belong in tanks bigger than 100 gallons.

We have a 50-gallon tank and limited on the kind of fish and the amount of fish. At one time, we had to place our larger fish into the tank till the new tank was setup. It was hard to maintain because the amount of waste the large fish and amount of fish. I say adding the fish you have on the list might cause you problems down the road.

tbh blue tangs have been known to destroy coral too
my buddy used to have a yellow belly hippo tang and sometimes those nip at corals but that's only if they are only refusing the eat the food your giving them so as long as your giving them food they like you should be good.
