Good fish to put in a 32 gal

I have a 32 gal biocube and already have a bangaii cardinal and a falco hawkfish. I'm pretty attached to both of them, so if you have any good ideas for a fish please reply! (There's no coral in the tank)

Midas blenny has alotta personality but they would be pushing it size wise. Orchid dottybacks are cool but kinda mean, clownfish, royal gamma or fire fish are just a few possibilities

Do you like clowns? Once they get used to the tank they’d be all over that size tank.

I have a nuvo 40 reef with a pair of pink streak wrasses. Always exploring the whole tank and along rock work.

Midas blenny is a great fish. I have one in my biocube as well. A dwarf angel fish like a coral beauty or flame angel but be careful if you add a dwarf angel fish they are somewhat territorial. So make sure it would be your last fish you add.

I know that you have some bangai, but if it were me, I would try to put a lion in there. I’m gonna do a 40 breeder and I’m gonna do something similar to what the lady Felicia I think her name is did.

What ever you choose will have to be able to hold their own, the falco can get pretty tough. So the midas and orchid are both good suggestions.

A lionfish with smaller fish in a 32 gallon cube? Even a Dwarf Lion is too big for that tank by the time you factor in it's spines.

@ the OP, I would look at a Royal Gramma.

Fu manchu would probably be fine. But like you said it really limits your options

Got it. For the next build then we can consult on some corals. That opens things up a bit then -- does not have to be reef safe. Bring in the (small) puffers and dwarf angels!

Please do your research carefully on lions, that tank you are referencing was a photo op, none of those fish would have survived long in that tank.

Honestly I've had a Midas blenny in the past and I loved him! But my tiger pistol shrimp killed him, so I took him out. I am also really into the saddle Valentini puffers and coral beauty angels. Thanks so much for the feed back!

The puffer sounds good, I had a cherub angel in a bc29 that worked out well but the tank size is on the border of being too small. The cherub or the flameback would be the only two I would consider.

I’m not saying I’m gonna be 3 lions and a snowflake in a 40. I meant I will have a lion and have a bunch of coral and some other fish. Btw, I’m pretty sure all is still well in that tank except for one lion
