I finally got my hands on a flasher wrasse and it'll be there next tuesday, I'm planning on feeding the usual frozen food mix I use but I also want to feed dry foods. I currently mostly feed formula one flakes but I only have easy to care for fishes (clowns, blenny, firefish etc...) and I've read about having a balanced diet to maintain the wrasse's colors.

I've read good things about AquaForest foods, I believe their anthias pro feed one could fit the wrasse? Keep in mind I'm in Europe and might not have access to some brands you guys have oversea but I'll take your suggestions and see what I can find.

Side question, I haven't really had any lucks with pellets overall, either they sink right to the bottom and the fish don't notice them or they don't care/can't swallow them. Any tips? Maybe I'm not putting enough pellets and I should expect 80% of them to go to waste but I'm afraid of overfeeding.

Live black or white worms is the best along with frozen. Not a big pellet fan due to waste.

Good point about live food but I’m not willing to go that route, I guess I’ll just make frozen my main food source and supplement with pellets so I can have a safety net for holidays

If you get 50 ml beakers you can devide up frozen cubes and place them in freezer. The tank sitter can thaw in fridge 1 each day for the next day feeding

Yeah that’s what I used to do because I had someone that could be there every day but next times it might be only 2/3 times a week so I’m thinking of setting up an auto feeder and having the sitter supplement with frozen. Thanks for the advice!

I don't have waste with pellets I feed hikari carnivore as my tank's staple and I have 11 fish. I do feed mysis occasionally but that could end up as once a week or once a month. Same with occasional masstick use but that I use when I get new fish heavily. I do occasionally throw in the freeze dried bloodworms and shrimp that I feed my freshwater tank as a little extra on top of the usual feeding.
