Ditto on bristle worm.. Good part of cuc. Just don't touch with bare hands:eek:

Do not touch with your hand. Take them out and wash it. During the night every bristle worm will come out and try to catchthem one by one or buy a catchworm

What's wrong with bristle worms? Mine come out even when the lights are on and clean the sand and rocks.

Bristle worms used to be considered pests and were removed at first site. We've come to understand them as a part of our clean up crew. You can leave it be.

This actually isn't a bristleworm in that sense. Like Cloak said, it's a Dorvilleidae, which are herbivores. They don't share much in the way of behaviour of "regular" bristleworms. These will not stick bristles in your hand. The size you see is it.

Sorry, my comment was on bristle worms in response to Tori, not on the ID

Ah! Just realized they were two different species. I have to start looking at the scientific names more  I'm pretty sure the ones I have are all common bristle worms.
