It does look like Brittle star, I'm pretty sure they are harmless. But boy they multiply in my tank,

Yeah I think that’s a serpent star which is a type of brittle. Some giant species are predatory but unlikely that is one

Yeah, better pictures when you can, but my vote is also a brittle star based on that picture. I've had these guys. They're freaky but cool.
