Asterina star (probably not scientifically accurate, but thats what "we" call them). I say bad, some say OK. There are stories that they may eat/bother corals, think mostly zoas, but not sure how much actual evidence exists. That said they can grow to plague proportions and crawl all over the glass. . . I say no!
 
indeed and that data are not clear, those that say they affect zoas also say they are "the black ones"

I pull them out of my DT and put them in with a Harlequin in my 15 -

goes into the "don't sweat the small stuff" category
 
I had one arrive in my new delivery, at the time I debated on to keep or not

Plenty available to purchase so I decided to not keep it
 
i say good and ima get sum hate for that but they've never bothered my corals so i think they're cool. just another slice of the ocean in my reef tank!
