Don't know if this should be in here or in diy..

● 13 Mil Thermoformed PVC Cubes

● Non-toxic to microorganisms and immune to rot

● Resistant to degradation by UV light, fungi, bases, acids and other wastewater compounds

*Also available in 12” x 12” x 36” (L) as well as customized lengths up to 6' long.

Possible 6ft long Pod hotel? That sounds more like a Podtropolis.

So the pvc block has 13mil channels and according to https://www.aquaculturenurseryfarms.com/live-plankton/copepods/blends/mix-5-types/ copepods are ".. from 20 mic to 3 mil. Including nauplii to adults."

So.. I bought the smallest size, 12x12 cube for 50$(with shipping).. plan is to toss this on the bottom of my (still planning/building) refugium.

What are y'all thoughts on this product?

Let us know how this works out.

I'll take some pics of it when it comes in. Only can find a few stock images of the product. Right now I'm still in process of cutting, gluing, screwing wood.

Looks like: Bad idea

Cost wise for what it is and what I would like to use it for. What it was actually made for, maybe? I never used an oil water separator aside from an inline screw on can.

It is made of wavy pvc sheets glued together making angled channels that rise and dip through. The holes start wide enough for a finger but become tight a knuckle deep. Big for Copepods but Amphipods might love it though.

The 12x12 is one sheet too many to fit between the inner trim on a 29g aqueon. Too big for a 10g brute (what I was planning on using).

You can do something similar using corrugated plastic. I cut 5-6 small pieces and attached them to a piece of rock and tossed them in.

Yeah, that or 2 jaxracks dividers and load bioballs between them or 3" pvc with pot scrubbers. Been running a few ideas. Somehow came across this product and got curious.

At least my aquatic life t5 hybrid comes in today, so I have something to look forward to. So today I'll let my brain cook on how to put it over a peninsula..
