Good idea bad idea?

I can't seem to keep pods in my tank all the fish eat them. I was thinking of putting a small piece of dry rock in the section where the pump is and pouring a container of trigger pods in there. I am hoping that maybe they can establish in there and every now and then get sucked up by the pump and spit out into the tank.
Good idea?
Anybody got an idea for me?

If u have a sump and want to keep some pods, put them there

It's all stock.
From the return to the skimmer to the heater through the media then at the carbon to pump and out to the tank. I put some where the pump is and it just sucks them up and spits them out and the fish then go to town.
