I had a fuzzy dwarf lionfish and so I had set up a small freshwater tank to hold a few mollies and ghost shrimp so I didn't have to run to the LFS too often. I could pick up several in one go and keep them in the small freshwater tank until I needed them.

Well the fuzzy decided one night he didn't care for my tank and jumped. I still have one molly and probably 5-6 ghost shrimp and now nothing that eats them. I was thinking about acclimating them and moving them to my fuge. That way I can take down the freshwater tank and have one less tank to worry about.

If I've read everything correctly since they were all freshwater when I bought them and have been living in my freshwater tank for probably a month they shouldn't carry any of the marine diseases to my tank correct? I have been adding freshly mixed saltwater for the last week or so when the tank needs topped off. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

Thanks.

If you like the fish, then go ahead and do it! I just know a lot of people don’t like “freshwater” fish in their marine tanks. But the babies that mollies put out would be great food for fish and corals!

Well that's kind of why I was thinking it could go into the sump as it's not any fancy molly since it was suppose to be a feeder.
