I am currently looking for better lighting for my aquarium and found this on amazon. Seems to have pretty good reviews but I wanted to see what you guys think.

Anyone have experience with this light? Will it be good for growth?

Thanks!

This is one of the better black boxes. I have not used one, but I know the folks who are using this. Search in reef2reef and you should get details . This can be modded and you can dim the, with controller if you want

Pretty much low end without much control over intensity and only 2 channels. I would spend a few hundred more and get a RB Photon V2+ but if you are on a very limited budget that may not be an option. I have a similar fixture that I bought for a frag tank and did not like it.

I ordered this light and had trouble finding a way to get it hanging over the tank. I ordered bars for it; they were too big for my tank stand so I couldn't screw in every screw. I ended up returning the bars and the actual light (light was also significantly heavier than the light I ended up going with). It's an okay light but make sure you have a way to hang it up.

I now use this light: https://sbreeflights.com/sbox-reef-lights/70-new-18-sbox-basic.html

Iirc total watts (number of diodes x watt of each one) is not the usable watts because they are not driven at 100%. My light for example has over 300 watts but even at 100% intensity it is only able to provide 220 watts. Someone with more knowledge than me care to chime in?

Just a follow-up, they have a 32" one so you could go with something like that.

Ok, thanks! I will look into it.
Just to give you a heads up, I'm not very experienced. Just sharing what I have and what I was told to get. I would def do your research before listening to me to make sure the light works for you lol
