Good light to grow chaeto?

I was wondering what kind of light should be used to grow Chaeto? Thanks
Macro algae are not not fussy like coral. An LED spotlight 100 watt equivalent 5500-6500 K and a cheap clap on fixture is enough. It is not pretty. You will need to spend more for an attractive solution.

Any fixture putting out the correct spectrum with sufficient lighting period and proper acclimation should grow chaeto. I use a 50w led light from Amazon. It was 30 bucks.

Sargassum begs to differ… it seems incredibly picky about high lighting and flow and I have only had limited success with it.

I have have had immense success with the following light on my Ulva, and I would assume it could grow Chaetomorpha as well. Note that it is not adjustable and does not come with a timer or E26 socket.

There are so many lights that will grow chaeto, I suppose it comes down to the company you like or size & compatibility. I chose the neptune gro as well, for I am an easy sell and I already had the system :) Its working great so far. Best of luck to you

It really has to do with the space you are trying to light also. This is where the neptune gro has a nice approach allowing mounting close to the water to prevent light spillage into other chambers.
