Hey yall

so i upgraded my tank to a 40g breeder, and im using T8 actintic bulb with a 6500k white bulb, which is what i can afford right now..

but i nearly bought a T5 Coralife dual fixture with bulbs from Petco for $100, but seen online theyre cheaper ($70-90 with free shipping i believe, but not sure)

i was curious what lights i can get? id like to go the DIY route and build my own for cheaper, perhaps a T5 fixture then just buy the bulbs, or would it be better just to buy the full kit for corals?

right now im keeping low to moderate corals, and ive noticed my Goniopora likes my 6500k T8 bulb because when i fitted it, it actually started to open up and extend good, all i got right now is Mushroom frag corals, Goniopora and a frogspawn frag, and ill be getting a few ore corals after awhile which will be Hammers, Zoas etc, just low light corals..

any advice appreciated

thanks!

Aquatic Life has Marquis Dual-Lamp T5 HO with built in timer for @ $130.00. I would replace bulbs with ATI bulbs, much better color and PAR.
