Good Morning!

Can't believe we have not hit 1000 pages yet.

@ReefGrammie My heart goes out to you.

Elsa was a sissy storm. They called it a Cat 1 but truly, I've seen worse in a mid afternoon downpour. A little water, a few branches. Grateful to have dodged a bullet. Stay dry everybody!!

Good morning. We lost our beautiful girl, Maya, yesterday. She fought a good fight these last 6 months. We thought we were going to lose her in January with a risky surgery, where we were given the choice of surgery or putting her down. We had a great 6 months with her and she made it to her 10th birthday a few weeks ago, which we didn't think would ever happen.

We are so glad our Kentucky son/family moved in with us, after moving to town. Since the housing market is awful, we didn't want them jumping into something and paying way more than it's worth. The house would seem so empty now without them here. You can't help but smile when our little grandson walks in the room. Yesterday, he had a great time climbing in and out of my water change bucket. At one point, I looked out the kitchen window and my backyard was filled with about a million or so bubbles. My little red flashlight has disappeared once again. ;Joyful

I'm doing ok. This thread always makes me laugh, so keep the funnies coming! I hope everyone did ok with the storm.

Here are a couple of pictures. My favorite one when she was younger:

I better stop now. Here come the waterworks...
So sorry for your loss

Good morning everyone! Well that was a lot of water. Thankfully no other issues.

For everyone that is still in the path of the storm, please stay safe.
As predicted, the power was out for hours, even though it turned out to be a total non- event here.

I'm glad that the weather was a non-event. Hopefully the power disruption didn't cause any issues.

Since I didn't have a battery powered air stone, I went to Costco yesterday and bought a $100 computer battery backup. I told myself that I could always use it on the computer when we are in town. That was my excuse. ;) When the power went out, the battery backup said it would run my tank for over 900 minutes. That should cover it! To be honest, we have lost the power for days with hurricanes, so it's actually something that I wanted to have for the tank.

So, what did you connect to it? Pump or wavemaker? Light? How long did it run? Asking for a friend ... LOL

I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was well over 900 minutes for just the air and close to 900 for the pump. It's a small pump though. I only have it on a 13 gallon aoi.

15 hours?! That's pretty awesome, even for a small AIO.

@ReefGrammie - my condolences for the passing of your sweet girl Maya. By reading your posts about her I can tell she was loved, had a great home, and had an amazing life with your family. I hope you can push away the sad feelings and focus on the happy times you had with her. Sending hugs your way!

How's that big tank of yours coming?
Pretty well, all things considered. I'm going to update the build thread this weekend.

I'm giving the kid until the weekend to decide if he is going to bail on the 90 because of the building delays on his new home. If he bails, I'm going to post it out on the Marketplace and pay it forward to a new reefer. It's a great setup for someone on a budget. Let me know if you know of anyone!

you remind me of this motorcycle i inherited. i have thought i had it a new home three times now but the people backed out for various reasons. now i will probably keep it until i learn how to ride it. i want the room in my garage freed up but perhaps it is best where it is.

Thanks to you all. It's been a rough day. I see my sweet girl everywhere. I caught my husband out in the garage shedding a few tears. I asked him what he was doing....looking at pictures of her. Nope, I can't do that yet. It will get better. :)

We're already planning a road trip this weekend to Nashville. @Mike from TN, are you heading to that critter place this weekend??

Unfortunately, we will be out of town this weekend. It would be great to meet up with you sometime.
Were spending the weekend in the Smokies. A much needed, although short getaway for me.

Perhaps I could hire someone to bop me on the head when I wake in the middle of the night.
Sorry Head GIF

Down to 2 hours at night. I took 2 naps yesterday, morning and afternoon.
My butt is really dragging.
