Speaking of Tessla, our niece drives one. The family thought it would be a great idea to take it on a “road trip,” which apparently was a really bad idea. They don‘t have charging stations located conveniently off the interstate and apparently there was much googling and cussing involved.

Yup, I kept my pickup truck for the real adventures when I had the electric hamster wheel of a car!

With all these "electric cars" we're going to run out of water. We're going to be on foot, or back to horse and buggy.

We live on the blue planet because of all of the water that covers the Earth but we are going to run out of water?

If you want to eat plant based foods why would you want them to look/taste like hamburgers or chicken nuggets? Why not just have a salad?

If you wanted to save the environment would you ban small engines that burn a gallon of gas an hour and benefit may people or jet engines that burn many gallons of kerosene a minute and benefit a few?

It's okay to light up your house for the holidays so it can be seen from space as long as you save energy the rest of the year?

On minute there is no oil and the next there is too much.

Why does my smart outlet that turns on mundane stuff in my house have to have location access enabled to work?
Why is that even built into it? Someone knows where my lamp is all the time, probably someone in China.

It's all getting to hard for me to understand.

Good morning all!

Today is a big day for me. I get my remaining 19 teeth taken out, and dentures installed. They say a mouth full of rotten teeth is terrible for your health, and your heart. Maybe I'll feel better finally?

If I could go back to being a kid, I would have brushed my teeth for the first 20 years of my life. Brushing them for the last 30, hasn't helped. lol

I never get excited like some others do about these sales, but I am really looking forward to this one. They are the only place I have gotten corals that actually look like the picture and have good discounts.

By they way, people amaze me. Gave a frag away this morning to a guy who told me he has a 90 gallon tank and had bought over $1,000 worth of torches on a whim. He said they all died within a week. Ouch!
He said he knows exactly what he's doing so he doesn't know how it could have happened and followed it up with, "I like those things you have that look like little flowers (zoas) and the flat round ones (mushrooms)." Definitely knows his stuff. Wow.

I don't want to get into it. But, it's the game they are playing, not me. I am so sick of it.

Eventually, they will say "solar panels are draining the sun, in a thousand years it will no longer be apart of our solar system." Sounds crazy? Someone is going to market it.

I wish I could get into the online sales, I hate the shipping premium and the crap shoot of shipping that equates to DOA corals. I'm also lucky to put up with living in southern CA where everything is imported into.

Why is it that every single feathered family member here is in full molt right now when it’s cold out. Even the two parrots are molting now. Feathers everywhere!

worked as a contractor near Ravenwood. the aluminum foundry near there would use so much electricity when at full production that the power plant would ramp up capacity to supply them. residential electric rates would go down because of the efficiency of scale (or what ever the term is for when they make so much that the individual unit costs little)

I’ll definitely check it out, but I’m a little bit worried about shipping this time of year with it being the holidays. Shipping can be unpredictable enough when it’s not the holidays! You’re lucky to be able to do local pickup.
