The Santa Claus at the shopping mall was very surprised when a young lady walked up and sat on his lap. Now, we all know that Santa doesn’t usually take requests from adults, but she smiled very nicely at him, so he asked her, “What do you want for Christmas?” “Something for my mother, please,” replied the woman sweetly. “Something for your mother? Well, that’s very loving and thoughtful of you,” smiled Santa. “What would you like me to bring her?” Without turning a hair she answered quickly, “A son-in-law.”

I love it, too! Woke up at 3:30, flopped around, and finally got up knowing that starting early means I get off early! One more day until the long weekend, then 3 days next week with another long weekend! :)

I am loving being an empty nester with flex hours! All through high school I had to get up up 5:30 am to make sure my daughter was up(most of the time she wasn’t) so she could get on the bus at 6:30 am. Now I get up between 7:30 and 8 whenever the dog starts whining to go out. Then the year after she graduated the school changed the hours and starts an hour later.
 
Good Morning! It's a toasty 23 this morning out here. There is another big snow coming in this week. I need a lot more snow for fishing. Instead of feet, the snow was measured in inches at the beginning of the moth. The slednecks are here enforce. RAP RAP RAP! So much for sleeping in. I just realized I have Christmas Day off for the first time in 19 years. I don't know what to do with myself. Have a great day and stay safe!
 
Good morning! The basement demo/cleanup/rebuild should be finished today :D When the crew is done I'll need to move the tank again, but that means I can start the planning for "tankzilla" lol. Also, I just realized I haven't done a water change since I moved everything back on Oct 25th :oops: Surprisingly enough everything looks really healthy and my #'s are respectable. Tested Alk for the first time in a couple weeks and got a result of 5.7 oops. Despite my worst efforts this tank marches on :p

I'm planning on moving the tank to the open wall on the right. The wood covered wall behind its current location is where tank 2.0 is gonna go. That room behind the wall is unfinished and has a sump pump already plus electric & water. Now I just need to win the lottery so I can make this happen lol

Good morning.
With a great deal of help from Jeanna the magical transformation from dirty white smelly carpet to a new floor is done. I used a few more physical resources than I actually have but I have always been able to do that.
Gabapentin is great stuff. No pain at all but the legs only work about 50 %. You just have to use 100% of the 50%.
LOL, the left leg is used to step up and the right one to step down. Okay as long as I follow the rules. We did all the cutting in the garage, 2 floors down and 300 trips. Take another pill and the shaking will stop. The old guy with the shakes using the old table saw with no guards scared Jeanna a bit.

I got some cool tools for Christmas. A pneumatic stapler to fasten down floor underlayment with pancake air compressor, Rigid multitool to undercut the door frames and brad nailer to put the trim back.

Now to make the Trip to get Earnest. I suppose it will make waves in Jill's family that he is coming here for 2 holidays in a row, Thanksgiving and now Christmas. I don't get involved in their family politics. You would be amazed at how much they dislike me. I don't play their silly games and I do what I say I am going to do. I hold no ill will toward them. They just assume I do. They assume a lot of things which gives them stuff to be upset about. You don't even have to participate.

Louie is upset because I haven't payed any attention to him for 2 days. He woke me by pulling on my CPAP headgear strap at 4 am purring loudly. Time to catch up on petting.

i don't call it insomnia, i just skip past the sleep i don't need. Good dark morning!
i dreamed there were two stars of NASCAR Dale senior and some guy with a name starting with F, when i woke up i couldn't remember the other guys's name. it bugged me for two days until i finally searched online for the answer, Richard Petty, no wonder i couldn't think of his name starting with F. with dreams like that i might as well be awake.

My day is almost over at 5:30 am. But I am a Geezer and my day keeps starting earlier and earlier. Soon I will completely skip an entire day. :p
