Good Morning!
Im kind of stuck in the house today. Rotech is coming to exchange O2 tanks today . 3 empties for 3 full. The oxygen has been a Godsend for controlling the length and severity of my cluster attacks. Still getting “hit” multiple times a night but not as bad as they have been And the O2 ends them within minutes.
Doctors appt tomorrow to get my BP meds changed up. I’ve been on Lisinipril for a long time and the Otolaryngology feels it’s causing my dry cough. Evidently, that is a side effect of long term use.
I was worried about my Toadstool not opening after the temp drop fiasco but this morning, it’s in its “full glory” again.

Time for my second cup-o-Joe!

Same here! We have plenty of lighthouse pictures, paintings, ceramics, etc. throughout our home!

This is one of my personal favorite pictures. I have photographed the Portland Head Light multiple times, but never after a Nor'easter. It was FREEZING cold and windy, and I was completely numb....it was worth it!! My husband might not agree....

Good morning everyone! Here's a recap of the football game last night, a lot of short bursts of energy followed by a bit of rest...this was repeated for a few hours.

In the end, the dogs won. This may seem inconsequential to many of you, but for some reason I lost sleep yesterday so I could find this out.

Apparently we as me and the dogs slept through the 3rd quarter, lol. I watched it in the 4th when it counted. My GF is a huge 'Bama fan due to the family being from Birmingham & Tuscaloosa areas and I'm the it's the SEC in the national championship again, *yawn*(literally).

Reef Grammie, you would love Long Island NY. We have quite a few lighthouses. But then we are on a 100 mile long Island.

This one is not to far from me and is the most eastern part of Long Island and almost in the US.
Montauk Lighthouse. That white building to the right of the lighthouse was to look for German submarines during WW2



Here is my wife and I on top of a Lighthouse in the middle of the Long Island Sound. My favorite dive spot. I was asked to go there as a consultant because a guy bought it from the Coast Guard and wanted to make a B&B out of it. It didn't happen as it is on a tiny Island with no utilities or sewage.

This one "Execution Lighthouse" was on a Ghost Hunters episode.

Love it! I definitely need to plan more lighthouse trips. We were on a whale watching trip near Bar Harbor, Maine and rode out to this lighthouse about 20 miles off the coast. It literally was a on a pile of rocks. The lighthouse keeper and his family lived there. I can't imagine living off the coast of Maine on a rock in the ocean!

They are all over the place but none are manned any more.

Good Morning! It's a bit nippy out here by Yellowstone at -14. The town is busy trying to scrape down the 14" of snow on the roads. the GM gets back today so I have even less work to do now. Have a great day and stay safe!

A great place to visit! A few years ago we did a Niagara Falls/ Great Lakes vacation, so many lighthouses! We hit 4 of the 5 lakes. That was one of my favorite vacations!

north shore on lake superior.
an adventure getting there.
hour ride, once you're off pavement, down a dirt road that turns to sand as you get closer to the lake.
road thins out the closer you get so either you pull off or oncoming traffic does to get by each other.
road didn't open till early june this year due to washout from melting snow.

I saw a video where a lift was not running and a water main was busted directly under a chair with people on it. That might have been the worst experience ever.

I saw that video talk about ruining your day. Little late in the day but still only 12° meetings for the rest of my day oh and my morning was a meeting too oh joy!
