Good Morning!

I was unimpressed. I am going to go look at another one. The car has a Cobb tuner plugged into it. I know what it is but not how to use it. Neither did anyone I met at the dealership. I dont know how the engine management was set up when I drove it. The car was grossly overpriced.
I found another one that is a year newer, has more options and is thousands less. Except it is white. I may go see it today. So far I am keeping the Impreza.
Duly noted! Thanks for your insight. On a side note I was smiling when I noticed that watercolor painting in one of the photos you had posted. I had almost forgotten about that.

Well thank you for giving it to me. I will never forget. At least until I do because of the brain stuff going on. That seems to bother my short term memory more than long term though.

If you dig deeply enough that all happened in this thread. It was quite a while ago now though.

i'm allergic. ;)

i'm allergic. ;)
I am too. I went through the stabby stabby 40 times on your back thing a long time ago. Allergic to dogs and cats,
dust mites and things.
I didn't get rid of my feather pillow either.
Oh well. Instead of allergy shots I just got a dog and later a cat. Handling frozen marine food every day also seems to have desensitized me to shellfish. I used to itch and swell after handling frozen mysis on my hands, especially any cuts or wounds. I had to wash and be very careful not to touch my face and eyes. It doesn't happen anymore. I still wont eat it though.

Good Morning All!
Nother “frigid “ day here but I’ve got things to do, people to see & places to go!
On another note, R.I.P. Meatloaf!
I grew up with his music (on 8 track of course) and still listen to it now.

Good morning.
My sister-in-law’s funeral is Monday. Was planning to go but now rethinking it. My brother told me she tested positive for Covid while in the hospital, although she had a few health issues, diabetes, kidney disease (dialysis 3 times a week and on a donor list) and heart problems. She was fully vaccinated. Cause of death is being called pulmonary something or another, which means her lungs were filling with fluids. She had been living fine for a few years now with these health problems and was feeling fine that night when suddenly couldn’t breathe and died within 4 hours. So anyway, now the whole family has been exposed and I have mixed feelings about going. Do I knowingly put myself in what could very well be a full Covid outbreak?

Good morning! Vacation ends tomorrow, but what a fabulous trip it was! Our best day of snorkeling was yesterday…once again, kicking myself for not having a camera, even one of the cheapo varieties!! Hopefully, the tanks are doing ok. I haven’t heard any desperate pleas for help from the local kids…they’re usually good helpers. Anyway, have a great day! :)

I’m so sorry! That’s a tough call under the circumstances. In your case, I’d probably go with my gut. We questioned our sanity over taking this trip, but in the end we went with our gut feeling and I’m so glad we did! Thoughts and prayers with you and your family now.

Good Morning. I am so spoiled not to mention lazy. I have a warm house. plumbing that doesn't freeze, either coming in, moving through or passing out of the house, with tap water in it. refrigeration, a couple of freezers, a warm dry bed, lights that usually work, central air, screened windows to keep out the bugs; storage that has no mold or critters.
cable, internet, cell phone service, mail delivery, trash pick up. stores within 2 miles. over the years i have created a comfy nest. and yet
i am thinking of acquiring a house that has not been inhabited or cared for in 20 years. on a property that has not seen a mower in that long. that i would try to rehab or convert or create something completely new.
half of me is saying i am up to the challenge, the other half is laughing at that half. this place is two hours away and 30 years ago.
Bless those who have decisions to make about their health. and for those who have duties. I am minded of the leper issue in the movie The Robe.

Good Morning. 20 degrees here on Long Island.

I had to take my wife for a blood test this morning and while she was waiting she asked me to go across the street to the drug store to get tooth paste.

I walked into Walgreens, headed straight for the tooth paste and without stopping or slowing down in one fell swoop I had the toothpaste in my left hand and my money in my right hand and went to the cashier who saw me come in.

She just looked at me for a while and said:

"I love the way men shop. You come in, know exactly what you want, pick it up without looking at anything else and your done and out".

I explained to her that if my wife came in for tooth paste "yesterday" she would still be here buying almost everything in the store because she just "has" to get a birthday card for so and so, she really needs peroxide, Q Tips, band aids, cotton balls etc. and would come home to realize that she forgot the tooth paste and send me back for it.

The woman laughed and said she knew it was true. Then I explained to her my idea of how a mans store would work, and she agreed with me. :)

I just found out I am eligible for retirement. The rules changed after I left. So instead of 2027 when I will be 67
full retirement is now 65 and I am eligible now with 19 years service.

Not a great deal of money but any is better. Now to decide what to do.
