Good Morning!

Good morning! We made it back...to a dead refrigerator! Nice surprise. The good news is it forced me to clean out the refrigerator. The bad news is it's just over 6 years old. Ugh. We have an extra in the garage that has been running for over 20 years. It was too late to salvage anything from the "new" refrigerator since I'm not sure how long it went out after we left. Repair guy coming tomorrow to probably tell us it will cost more to repair it than to replace it. Thankfully, we weren't gone for 2 weeks or that thawed fish food would have probably exploded and stunk up the whole house.

On a good note, the tanks did fine! Pup is glad to be home. :)

Good morning! Frig is working again. Tech thinks the control board may be going out, and there's only one way to find out...wait and see if it goes out again. Meanwhile, I'm going to stick a thermometer in there and will watch for the temperature to start dropping again. Ugh, he said it might be days, weeks, or years. Hopefully, the backup frig in the garage will keep chugging along!

Well, my day is done with now! While doing dishes I stabbed myself with a steak knife in the palm of my hand. Went in deep but was just the tip so I don’t think stitches will be required but it sure hurts like heck and bleeding like crazy! No tank maintenance for a couple days. :frowning-face:

Been a busy few days, so good afternoon! I'm finally off work until Monday. We're supposed to have drenching rain tomorrow from what's left of that Florida storm, so I plan for some much-needed tank maintenance. The power heads from both tanks need a good citric acid soak!

Good morning

Good morning. Rain, rain, and more rain! It's all ok. On a good note, we found a local guy to a help with our squirrels in the attic issue. He found the problem, found loose insulation in the gutter, patched the hole, and hopefully problem is solved. We could never get up there...we have a very tall house with a very pitchy roof. He had a VERY tall ladder (which made me a nervous wreck). Cost $200...original quote $3500. Unbelievable. We'll know in a few months!
