;Hilarious I was in marching band all through high school. You manage to pick up some things. I’m not a huge fan. I did cry when the falcons lost the super bowl... so I guess I’m just fan enough for that. Where’d you play in college?

Landfall now expected in GA. Dorian expected to move up the coast rather than through the Florida peninsula. Still a huge storm that will be felt all through there.

Good morning from MACNA. The weather has been perfectly spectacular. Sunny and warm. Little to no rain a few bursts here and there but nothing to go I indoors about. Unfortunately, the airport closes after midnight tonight and stays closed until that 6th I believe so gotta get out today or “never”. So no time for MACNA today

. They are closing the show early today at 2pm. This was my first and I enjoyed a reduced experience which was good for the first one. Lots of cool new products including and auto feeder for frozen food. An all in one tank with that ATO water hidden inside the glass of the display, a new controller due out in the next month or so for the cobalt aquatics stuff...gyres, varios pumps and there power heads. Allows you to get rid of the all those large power packs in the cabinet which are generally over rated for power so dissipate the energy in the form of heat. To name a few

Definitely going next year. I want to see all of these things! I’ve been watching that frozen food feeder. What were your thoughts?

Agreed. Looks like the major impact to the us will be higher than intended. I grew up near the gulf. The hurricanes are about as likely to do what they predict them to as they are not to do what’s predicted. Still hoping it turns back to sea.

My parents prep independent of where a hurricane is meant to go. ;Happy This is their reasoning:

It looks like it could have possibilities. It is still a prototype. Holds either 7 standard frozen cubes or 21 smaller pieces. So only a couple of days tops. Which is fine I would mind to put it up there each day instead of setting up all my feeding for the day then having to go to the freezer to get them out would be nice and for people that woke outside the home that would be good too. Don’t think it solves a weeks vacation though.

I wonder if you can set it to drop every 18 hours or so. If you could then supplement with flakes, assuming your fish will eat flakes, at least they’re getting something while you’re on vacation.

My dad lives in Stuart, FL and already has everything set for the house and his tanks. He has been in some part of Florida some the 70s, so is well prepared. Spoke to him this morning and he said the same thing about the models. Well he said this as well and I about died “I was thinking, we need to give all the gulls on all the piers beans. The gas produced from that should push it offshore.” He’s a nut.

Yeah. I think my parents are less concerned when a model is pointing at them. They say the hurricanes are too tricky to do what you expect them to do. They got destroyed during Michael. The area still looks totally devastated.

My dad is the same way. Although being a retired marine colonel who was in Korea and Nam, he could care less. He has been though quite a few canes in Florida from a few shingles being ripped off to losing it all. As he says “You live here, you know they happen, you still live here as the benefit outweighs the risk, be prepared.” To me, it still sucks though, but it is part of it. I have a house outside of Sarasota and plan to move there when the kids graduate, so I guess I am the same in the end.

Either way I hope it turns cause right now it looks like it could ride the coast and that is not good.
