Good Morning!

He,s probably looking out the window wondering what you’re talking about ! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

;Yuck;Yuck;Yuck;Yuck;Yuck

I am having major issues with Aip right now.... I kill anywhere from 10-15 almost everyday. And the next day they pop up somewhere else. There are no Peppermints available around here and Nudi's are ridiculously priced. Anyone have any experience with a file fish?

Thanks @jsker There's one locally I think I'll go get tomorrow.

Knock on wood, i've never had aptasia......i know i probably just jynxed myself

I don't wish them on any reefers. They totally $uck. I got them from a frag in this tank and have been battling them for a while now. They have just gotten to the point where I can kill them and then reappear somewhere else. They were the main reason I dried out all the rock from the 40B rescue tank I had going before the 90. I get them everywhere, sand, rock, glass, in my Zoas, EVERYWHERE ! ! !

Make sure that it is a Matted file fish. It will take some time depending on how many. I had a bunch and it took a two weeks to totally get rid of apistasa. The filefish work at night:)

Local guy that sells pond equipment also has a few saltwater tanks that are full of aptasia. He can't figure out why I don't buy from him.:rolleyes::D

Here I thought you where changing lights again ;Hilarious Grat’s on the promotion!
I think I'm stuck with metal halide and T fives for a little bit. And thank you :)

Yep. The parasite encysts on the shell.
So they can carry it, but are unaffected by it from my understanding, correct?

Yes. The parasite doesn’t feed on them. It’s just attached to a hard surface to encyst. That’s what makes them dangerous. Especially for velvet. So many new parasites hatch and quickly search out fish to feed upon.

seeing how Lil Bluto my new Hippo is in QT at the moment . I'm not even going to comment on the last several posts ! As predicted, he's pigging out on reef frenzy but won't eat his veggie's ! still a little skinny also But I'll take care of that soon enough. So no spots or discoloration so far ,He did have some stringy poo but it was very dark so I think tha,s good. Will test salinity & do a w/t this eve .making water as we speak , test for AM etc.
So the weekend is coming ,which of you poor souls have to work?
