the water main blew at the end of the street, a couple of days ago. that night, when they came out and stopped the water that was pouring down the road, our water supply was not interrupted.
i have a couple of gallons of store-bought distilled water, but when i saw the utility workers arrive the next day, i filled a couple of pitchers of tap water and set them on the counter .
even tho we still had water, last night i used some of the counter water to fill the coffee maker for this morning and thought about pouring the rest out since we were not affected. i'm lazy so i just left it there. this morning we had no tap water. Score one for the prepared guy. plus if i needed flush water i have 30 gallons of rodi in the basement.
two hours later, with no water needed, service has been restored.

None here. Just dead leaves. The dogs shed in the house and the trees in the yard. I have to clean it up.
Maybe that's why I like fish. They don't shed.

Lesson learned yesterday; always ask diameter of a BTA before buying online. Ordered a new BTA, I was going to put in my 34 gal but this thing is huge! Probably 6 inches across and it is not even fully opened up yet. Might have to put it in my 180. I do have a pair of clowns in there that hopefully will protect it against my butterflies and angels. ;Nailbiting

I have one. I found it one day upside down in the living room. It was like a big dead beetle. It had choked to death from dog hair trying to make it back to the charging station.
