this day is the essence of retirement: woke when i did, petted and fed the chinchilla, took a tour of the yard, put out water and food for the wild life, checked and fed the fish, wiped the inside of the glass, checked the basement, put on a pan of oatmeal, washed the dishes, checked my e-mail, checked the Ohio reef club site, read the posts on R2R, wish you all a good morning,
and now: eat breakfast, and play Mass Effect Legendary. Think about mowing the lawn and go from there.
I don't always get my way, but when i do, i try not to complain about it.

Morning all! Have to clean the fish room today.....having close friends over tomorrow....first time in over a year that we'll be entertaining because of.....you know why. And I've taken advantage of nobody here in a year, so cleanup with be an all day affair.

My fish room is a mess!! I can't use that excuse....it's always a mess! Every once in a while, it drives me crazy and I put everything in its place. Gradually, everything comes back out. Right now, I have Reef-Roids, fish flakes, a container of alk, Hanna checker, various chemicals, dirty filter socks, and a ceramic fish that I put up when most recent toddler grand was here...all scattered on the counter. I do have drawers and cabinets for all of that stuff...

I walked to the beach this morning and it took me a while to tie my shoes with my teeth.

Now I have to help my wife put her shoes on.

Good morning!
The ducks are not happy we drained the pool cover again. Female must be sitting on eggs cause it is usually a three-some that visits every morning.


Yesterday we finally got a car for my daughter. Ended up with a Toyota C-HR. We were looking at used but got a brand new one cause it was same price as a 3 year old one with 30k miles, so no brainer there. Now that she has a car she is more excited to get her license!



Got a orthopedic dr appointment this afternoon for follow up on my shoulder again.

The poor animals are on a truck to be delivered according to tracking. Last time this happened it was okay.

Good morning! Very stressed today. My corals are not happy with me right now, my reef tank really needs some tlc

Also trying to feed the fish some live food. Might feed the freshwater planted tank some small pieces of earthworm later. Trying to figure out what my fish really go nuts for so they can be their healthiest selves... they eat better than I do!
